Slope Scout
Accessibility statement
We want Slope Scout to be usable by everyone planning a trip to the mountains, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
Last updated: February 2026
Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA. The site uses semantic headings and landmarks, keyboard reachable controls, visible focus states, descriptive alternative text for resort photography and colour contrast that meets AA for body text.
Known limitations
Some parts of the site are not yet fully accessible.
- Piste maps are supplied by resorts as images. Their internal detail cannot be read by a screen reader; we provide the resort's downloadable map and key statistics in text alongside them.
- Embedded snow forecast widgets and resort videos are provided by third parties and we do not control their markup.
- Pinch and drag zoom on piste maps also works with the on screen zoom buttons for anyone who cannot use gestures.
Reporting a problem
If you hit an accessibility barrier, tell us through the contact form or email hello@slopescout.com with the page address and what happened. We aim to respond within five working days.
