What to expect at Flims Laax Falera
Flims-Laax-Falera is one connected area but marketed under two names, Flims for the traditional village side, Laax for the freestyle brand. See the Laax entry for the mountain itself. Flims as a base is quieter, has an actual medieval village core with a Romanesque church and the Waldhaus hotel, a Belle Époque grand hotel restored in the 2010s, that suits families who don't want the freestyle party vibe of Laax. Both bases access the same 235 km of piste and the same Vorab glacier at 3,018 m, so you can pick your accommodation feel without giving up any of the mountain.
