Wagrain

Wagrain sits between Flachau and Alpendorf in the Snow Space Salzburg linked area, and is the natural family base of the three: gentler terrain, a slightly quieter village and the excellent Kinderland beginner area. The main lift out of the village, the Grafenberg gondola, opens the connection across to Alpendorf, and G-Link cable car (250 m span) links to Flachau on the other side. That gives around 213 km of piste without having to ride the shuttle bus, and access to the full Ski Amadé pass beyond. Wagrain has done a good job holding onto its farming-village core, the parish church and the market square are still the centre of everyday life.
